Optimum Products, LLC was started with heat tracing controls in mind. With over 30 years working with contractors, distributors and large users on snow and ice melting applications, we have worked to develop this deicing controller to meet the do it your-self needs.
Located in the heart of snow country, Central New York, our years of experience have helped us create this energy efficient product for the marketplace.
Our roof and gutter deicing controller is designed to automatically control a single, pre-terminated, roof and gutter heating cable. With the do-it-yourself customer in mind, the controller is easy to install, and with a 1200 Watt capacity, it will satisfy most roof and gutter heat trace cable installations.
Compared to using deicing cable without the controllers, they significantly reduce your electric bill while improving the prevention of ice dams. By providing a clear path for melting water, it keeps roof edges, gutters, and downspouts ice-free.
What is the difference between UL and ETL? Both marks indicate that a product meets the minimum requirements of widely accepted product safety standards, determined through independent testing by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). So the only real difference between the marks is in the service of the testing laboratories behind them. The only major requirement is that the laboratory performing the testing is an OSHA recognized NRTL.
Consequently, our ETL Listed Mark serves as an indicator of compliance with applicable product safety standard. Major North American retailers including JCPenney, Sears, Costco and Target accept the ETL Listed Mark.
